Closed for lockdown
Sadly, as from Thursday the 5th of November we have had to close our doors once again due to the recent lockdown announcement made by Boris Johnson on October the 31st.
We hope to be back open from the 3rd of December.
Team Oracle would like to thank all of our clients for their continued support and kind words through this difficult time.
If you have any queries or would like to make an appointment, please email us and we will respond to you as soon as we can.
We are keeping a waiting list of appointment requests for December.
Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you all very soon.
Announcement on 31st of July
The government announced the delay in offering close contact services such as treatments on the face until the 15th of August at the earliest. This is obviously a setback to us and other beauty businesses who are eager to get back up and running. We will be contacting our clients to inform them of this decision and we will keep you all posted on any further updates.
We are now back in business!
Oracle hair and beauty is now back open and we are taking appointments for both hairdressing and limited beauty services.
TUESDAY 23RD JUNE IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT RE-OPENING, PLEASE READ.
Today the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson gave the go ahead for hair salons to re-open from Saturday the 4th of July. We are just waiting for guidance on how we will have to work and what services we can and cannot offer. We will start to contact clients who are on our waiting list from Monday the 29th of June. Please be patient with us as there is still a lot to do before we open. Unfortunately we are still not in a position to offer any beauty services. We will keep you posted on the changes we are having to make in order to operate as a safe business. We are looking forward to seeing you all soon!
Update – Monday 25th May 2020
The government have announced that non-essential shops can open from the 15th of June. We have had a number of emails requesting to make an appointment, but unfortunately this does not include hair and beauty salons. The date the government have provisionally given for salons to re-open is the 4th of July at the earliest, and we are waiting for this date to be confirmed. We are currently holding a waiting list and clients who had an appointment booked at the time of lockdown who we had to cancel, will take priority. We will do our very best to try and accommodate clients on the restrictions and resources we are given. As soon as we have a confirmed date for opening, we will contact clients to arrange a time and date for an appointment. If you would like to be added to our waiting list or to make an enquiry, please email us at email@example.com You will received an automated message telling you that you have been added to our waiting list, which is being updating on a daily basis.

Update – Monday 11th May 2020
It has been announced by the government that we cannot open our salon doors until the 4th of July at the very earliest. We are now holding a waiting list of clients wanting to book appointments. We feel it is only fair that clients who had appointments booked in from March who we had to cancel due to the lockdown will take priority. We appreciate the messages of love and support from our clients during this difficult period. We are a dedicated team and we will do everything we can to try and accommodate you.
We are waiting for further guidance on how the salon will operate once we are open as there will be certain rules and restrictions we have to follow to ensure the safety of ourselves, our staff and our clients. Once we know more, we will contact you to discuss an appointment date and time. If you would like to be added to our waiting list, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org

Hello and welcome to our new page.
We recognise that not everyone uses social media, so we’ve added this page to our website in order to provide you with updates on Oracle Hair and Beauty.
Due to government guidelines, we had to close the salon on the 23rd of March, and it was announced on the 16th April that the UK is on lockdown for another three weeks at least. Unfortunately, we really don’t know when we will be able to open our doors again, but we hope to see you all again soon!
We have been in contact with most of our clients, either by phone, text or email, to provisionally book in appointments from the beginning of June. A lot of you have already been in touch asking us to reschedule your appointment, and June is booking up quickly. If you need to get in touch, please feel free to email us at email@example.com or you can drop us a note on our contact page. If you do use social media, be to sure to follow us for updates!
*Please note that all appointments booked for June and beyond (including on-line bookings) are provisional and are subject to change in accordance with government guidelines*
To colour or not to colour… That is the question!
We’ve had a number of enquiries from clients about colouring their hair whilst on lockdown and asking for our advice. Yes, we know how frustrating it is to have roots and those sparkling greys on show, but let’s face it… We aren’t going anywhere, are we?
In all seriousness, if you are a client who has their hair coloured on a regular basis, or you hate any grey hair showing, it is frustrating. And yes, there are people out there who are still going to work and want to look their best!
As professional hairstylists, we cannot recommend what home hair colourant product or shade to use. There is a science to hair colouring and you need to have the experience and expertise to get good results without compromising the condition of the hair. Home hair colour can be unpredictable; don’t be fooled by the beautiful picture on the box!
It is your hair of course, so if you are tempted to reach for the box dye, make sure you read the instructions before going ahead. If you are looking for something semi-permanent, then check the label and contents before you buy.
A true semi-permanent hair colour lasts between 6-8 shampoos and IS NOT mixed with another product. If you buy a product that you have to mix with another product, then be aware that this will last much longer in the hair, and WILL NOT fully wash out. You cannot lighten hair with semi-permanent colours, nor can these products cover grey.
If you want to play around with fashion colours, then most of these need to be applied on pre-lightened bases, which tend to be more porous. Again, these can be unpredictable with regards to how long they will last. Remember, if you apply any type of hair colour, your patch test with us will become invalid and you will require another patch test 48 hours before we can apply any professional colour. You may also end up having to have a colour correction service, which will cost you more money.
Whilst you’re in lock down, it’s a great time to look after your hair and maybe grow it. Consider applying regular conditioning treatments and use good professional products. You may want to holdoff using heated appliances for a while!
If you want some individual haircare advice, then drop us an email with your enquiry and we will do our best to answer your questions!
We are all so looking forward to getting back to work and we really miss all of our clients. In the meantime, please support our NHS and key workers by staying home and staying safe.
